PAINT A POPPY THIS ANZAC DAY
Kiama Library is inviting people of all ages to ‘Paint a Poppy’ in the lead up to Anzac Day 2024, Monday 25 April.
The red poppy holds profound significance as a symbol of Anzac Day, representing sacrifice, courage, and remembrance.
Painting workshops at Kiama and Gerringong Libraries will give participants the opportunity to pay tribute to our brave service men and women by creating their own poppy-themed artworks.
Local artist Kylie Morrison will guide you through a step-by-step process, which is suitable for any skill level, experience or age.
The Kiama/Jamberoo RSL will also share unique soldier stories at the start of each session, providing insights into the experiences of those who served.
The artworks will be displayed in Kiama Council’s exhibition spaces, including Council Chambers.
